About the Program

The Early Childhood Education Program is designed to develop the skills, competencies, and knowledge necessary to provide quality care and education for children (ages 0-8) who are developing typically or have special needs. Students who complete this certificate will be able to understand theories of early childhood development, apply that knowledge to a variety of environments, interact with diverse children, families, and coworkers, and utilize professional and community resources for the care of children and families.

  • FALL OR SPRING SEMESTER FRESHMAN YEAR take the following courses, take 3-9 credits

    EARC109 - Foundations of Early Childhood Ed

    EARC111 - Health, Safety and Nutrition

    EARC203 - Child Development
