About the Program
This program will provide students with the skills and knowledge to:
Maintain components of health information systems consistent with the medical, legal, accreditation, and regulatory requirements of the health care delivery system. Maintain, compile, and report health information data for reimbursement, facility planning, marketing, risk management, utilization management, quality assessment, and research as well as to abstract and code clinical data using appropriate classification systems. Analyze health records according to federal, state, and accrediting body standards.
