About the Program

The Certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging prepares ARRT, ARDMS or NMTCB credentialed imaging technologists with an associate or bachelor’s degree and want to transition into the magnetic resonance imaging field. This program qualifies you to sit for the ARRT (MR) exam and equips you with problem-solving skills to navigate complex scenarios.

Program Requirements

To be considered for the online Certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, applicants must meet the following requirements:

-ARRT, ARDMS or NMTCB credentialed imaging technologist matriculated from a regionally accredited institution (AS/AAS degree minimum)

-Students need to have taken anatomy and physiology (BIOL 227 and 228) to be admitted into the certificate

-Proof of medical professional credentials

-Resume outlining patient care experience

-Acceptance into Boise State University

-Students pursuing MR must apply through the on-campus program if they want clinical placement in the Treasure Valley, Idaho, area.
